Jonathan Phillipe
Jonathan Phillipe, a second generation stylist, hails from New York City starting his training in theatrical hair and makeup. He graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Columbia, where he discovered his love for Hair Coloring and Session Styling. He specializes in blonding, and corrective color, and natural transitioning to gray hair.
Jonathan has worked doing many runway shows, including shows at New York Fashion Week, Project Runway Designer Showcase with Face Magazine, Miami Swim Week, Charlotte Fashion Week, and more. His work has also been on the cover and pages of Charleston Magazine, Imirage Magazine, and Charlotte Living Magazine. His editorial work also includes many other photoshoots throughout the United States, and Europe.
In March 2018 Jonathan founded J. Phillipe Hair & Makeup Design, his very own traveling design team focused on Runway and Editorial Styling. In August 2019 Jonathan opened J. Phillipe Salon in Columbia, South Carolina, catering to Blonding, Color Correction, high end styling.
Donna Pulley
Donna, native of Massachussets moved here in 2017, where she obtained her license in Cosmetology in 2016. Donna completed her apprenticeship at an Aveda salon expanding her education in the hair industry. During her time as an apprentice she expounded on her techniques in color, cutting, styling, and more. Donna has extensive knowledge on multiple color lines and is certified in extensions. Donna is passionate and classifies herself as a color and blending specialist.
Donna has a heart for people and a deep love for her work in the hair service industry. She has received rave reviews for her customer service, and beautiful work. Donna is currently working her way towards salon management.
Nicole Funderburk
Nicole graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Columbia, where she received her training and certifications for Extensions, coloring, Makeup and more. Nicole completed her apprenticeship at J. Phillipe Salon, where she began her tenure as a blonding, vivid, and curl specialist. Besides her extensive knowledge of Paul Mitchell Products and color lines, Nicole has been trained in Redken, and Joico.
During her free time Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and reading. She also continues to expound on her vast knowledge of hair, participating in continuing education classes in cutting, color, and texture. Nicole looks forward to growing as a stylist, and creating hair magic for all of her clientele.
Chase McDonald
Chase was born and raised in South Carolina. She graduated from USC-Aiken with Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then completed cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell the School Columbia where she graduated with honors. She is certified in hand tied extensions and sunlights balayage. Chase specializes in blonding and extensions. She completed an apprenticeship at J. Phillipe Salon while being a full time student, where she has been working as a full time stylist since 2023. When not at the salon, Chase enjoys spending time with her husband Mac and their 4 dogs.
